RAZOM (TOGETHER) National Network

The RAZOM National Network (“the National Network”) is a voluntary association of employers (entrepreneurs) who aim to promote job placement of persons with disabilities. The National Network is not a legal entity as per the current legislation of Ukraine.

Organizational support for the National Network’s activities is ensured by the Confederation of Employers of Ukraine within the limits of available resources and capabilities, in particular provided by the National Network members.

 

The National Network’s activities are based on:

  • respecting the National Network members’ efforts aimed at ensuring observance of the rights and opportunities of persons with disabilities at work;
  • providing the National Network members with equal access to informational, analytical and other materials on ensuring observance of the rights and opportunities of persons with disabilities at work;
  • providing the National Network members with equal opportunities in dissemination of their own experience in ensuring observance of the rights and opportunities of persons with disabilities at work, in particular during relevant international events;
  • providing the National Network members with equal opportunities in the organizational, financial, informational and other support for the National Network’s activities.

Operational principles of the National Network members

The National Network members adhere to the following principles in their activities aimed at ensuring the rights and opportunities of persons with disabilities at work:

1.      Respecting and observing the rights of persons with disabilities at work – encourage and respect in every way possible the rights of persons with disabilities at work by raising awareness and combating stigma and stereotypes faced by persons with disabilities at and outside workplaces.

2.      Preventing discrimination – develop a policy and implement practices that protect persons with disabilities against all types of discrimination at workplaces.

3.      Ensuring accessibility – make the company premises and communication with staff, step by step, accessible for all persons with disabilities, including with the use of reasonable accommodation and universal workplace design.

4.      Ensuring the equality of treatment and opportunities – promote equal treatment and provision of equal opportunities for persons with disabilities in the hiring process, at work, during vocational and on-the-job training, job retention, career development, and other relevant job placement conditions.

5.      Maintaining confidentiality – respect confidentiality of personal information of a person with disability at work.

6.      Retaining the job – take proper measures to let employees with disabilities retain their job or get some other suitable job.

7.      Cooperating with partners – cooperate with employers and national business networks engaged in protection of the rights of persons with disabilities, particularly in their job placement.

8.      Paying attention to all disability types – consider the needs of persons with disabilities who encounter with particular difficulties in accessing the labour market, including persons with intellectual and psychosocial disabilities.

9.      Monitoring achievements -  regularly review the corporate policy and practice on ensuring the rights of persons with disabilities at work for their efficiency.

10. Sharing knowledge – spread information about the company’s efforts to promote job placement of persons with disabilities for all parties concerned.
